About Me
Doug Pritchard of Foxtail Photography was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. He grew up as an only child and as such, learned to entertain himself in a variety of ways. Photography has become a passion for Doug in recent years, which provides a great way to express his creative side and "think outside the box" philosophy.
Doug's training is nearly all self taught, except for attending a few formal classes at The University of Indianapolis. The Instructor, Donna Adams a photographer/artist in her own right, with her outstanding teaching skills opened a whole new realm of photography possibilities for Doug to run with. So his skills and techniques continually evolve. Though he shoots all digital, Doug makes every effort to get the shot with the camera and lighting set correctly and not use the computer as a crutch, but as another tool to create the best possible photograph.
Doug’s portfolio contains many portrait styles, ranging from newborn children to artistic nudes. Doug's work has been published, on the internet www.IndyScene.com and is also the head photographer for IndyScene.sIIn print: Indy Sports The Men's Magazine, Indy Magazine. Also Doug’s photos have been used in various brochures. All have provided many great networking possibilities in both business and friendships.

The mission of Foxtail Photography is a simple one: “To paint with light. This creates beautiful images that may touch both the viewer’s emotions and stir their soul; while at the same time, endeavoring to make the total experience entertaining for the viewer, subject, and photographer.”
